Datenschutzerklärung

Im normalen Betrieb bleiben Sprache, Transkript und Diktat auf deinem Gerät. Diese Erklärung beschreibt, welche Daten wann entstehen — und welche nicht.

1. Verantwortlicher

Verantwortlicher im Sinne der DSGVO ist Alexander Vogts, Heideplatz 4, 06847 Dessau, Deutschland, E-Mail support@foxcribe.app, Telefon +49 151 23746499.

2. Grundsätze

Foxcribe ist so gebaut, dass Diktate lokal transkribiert und bereinigt werden. Es gibt keine Aufnahmebibliothek, keinen Cloud-Diktatverlauf und keine Telemetrie über Wörter, Nutzungsdauer oder App-Aktivität. Netzwerk wird nur verwendet, wenn du es ausdrücklich einschaltest (z. B. optionale Cloud-Anbieter) oder für Lizenzaktivierung, Kaufwiederherstellung und höchstens tägliche Aktualisierung der Berechtigung.

3. Website

Diese Website ist statisch. Sie setzt keine Analyse- oder Marketing-Cookies und lädt keine Schriftarten oder Tracker von Dritten. Beim Aufruf verarbeitet der jeweilige Hosting-Anbieter technisch notwendige Verbindungsdaten (IP-Adresse, Zeitpunkt, abgerufene Datei, übertragene Menge, User-Agent). Rechtsgrundlage ist Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (sicherer Betrieb und Angriffsabwehr). Die Speicherdauer richtet sich nach den Logs des Hosters und ist auf das Erforderliche begrenzt.

4. Kontakt

Schreibst du an support@foxcribe.app, verarbeiten wir die Nachricht und deine Absenderadresse zur Bearbeitung. Rechtsgrundlage ist Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO bei Vertragsanfragen, sonst Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO. E-Mails löschen wir, wenn das Anliegen erledigt ist, soweit keine gesetzlichen Aufbewahrungspflichten gelten.

5. Foxcribe-Apps (macOS, iOS, iPadOS, Android)

Mikrofon und Transkript

Die App nimmt Ton nur auf, während du diktierst. Die Verarbeitung erfolgt standardmäßig auf dem Gerät. Es wird kein Diktatverlauf in die Cloud geschrieben. Optional kannst du lokal ein Protokoll einschalten; das bleibt auf dem Gerät. Rechtsgrundlage ist Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (Nutzung der App) bzw. die Einwilligung in die Mikrofonberechtigung auf dem jeweiligen System.

Systemberechtigungen

Je nach Plattform braucht Foxcribe Mikrofonzugriff und auf dem Mac Bedienungshilfen bzw. auf Mobilgeräten Tastaturzugriff, um Text am Cursor einzusetzen. Diese Rechte bleiben auf dem Gerät. Wir erhalten davon keine Kopie.

Optionale Cloud-Anbieter

Wenn du in den Einstellungen einen Cloud-Transkriptions- oder Cleanup-Anbieter (z. B. Groq, OpenAI, xAI, Ollama auf einem eigenen Rechner) aktivierst und dafür eigene Schlüssel hinterlegst, verlässt Audio bzw. Text dein Gerät zu diesem Anbieter. Dessen Datenschutzhinweise gelten dann zusätzlich. Das ist freiwillig und im Standard aus.

Lizenz und Kauf

Für Testphase, Aktivierung und Pro-Status speichern wir lokal: Beginn der Testphase, Lizenz- bzw. Token-Daten, eine Geräteaktivierungs-ID, Tarif, Herkunft (Web, App Store, Play Store) und Zeitstempel. Diese Daten enthalten keine Audio-, Transkript- oder Nutzungsstatistik. Beim Aktivieren oder Zusammenführen eines Kaufs werden Lizenz-ID, Geräteaktivierungs-ID, Plattform und App-Version an die Lizenz-API übermittelt, sofern sie konfiguriert ist. Rechtsgrundlage ist Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO.

App Store und Google Play

Käufe über Apple oder Google werden von Apple bzw. Google als eigene Verantwortliche abgewickelt. Foxcribe erhält vom Store nur das, was zur Freischaltung nötig ist (Transaktionsbeleg, Produkt-ID, Laufzeit). Es gelten zusätzlich die Datenschutzangaben von Apple und Google.

Lokale Modelle

Mitgelieferte Sprach- und Cleanup-Modelle laufen auf dem Gerät. Ihre Lizenzhinweise (u. a. Apache 2.0 / MIT) stehen in der Projektdokumentation; sie verarbeiten deine Diktate nicht außerhalb des Geräts.

6. Speicherdauer

Transkripte werden nicht als Verlauf gespeichert. Lizenzdaten bleiben, solange du Foxcribe nutzt oder eine gesetzliche Pflicht besteht. Website-Logs nur kurzfristig beim Hoster. Support-Mails nach Abschluss des Vorgangs.

7. Deine Rechte

Du hast das Recht auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung, Datenübertragbarkeit und Widerspruch (Art. 15–21 DSGVO) sowie das Recht, eine Einwilligung zu widerrufen. Außerdem kannst du dich bei einer Aufsichtsbehörde beschweren. Zuständig für den Verantwortlichen ist die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Sachsen-Anhalt, Leiterstraße 9, 39104 Magdeburg.

8. Pflicht zur Bereitstellung

Du musst uns keine Daten nennen, um die Website zu lesen. Ohne Mikrofonberechtigung kann Foxcribe nicht diktieren. Ohne Lizenzdaten nach Ablauf der Testphase kann die App die Pro-Funktionen nicht freischalten.

9. Änderung dieser Erklärung

Wenn sich die Verarbeitung ändert, aktualisieren wir diese Seite und das Datum oben.

1. Controller

2. Principles

Foxcribe transcribes and cleans dictation locally by default. There is no recording library, no cloud dictation history, and no telemetry about words, usage time, or app activity. The network is used only if you turn it on (optional cloud providers) or for license activation, purchase restore, and at most a daily entitlement refresh.

3. Website

This website is static. It does not set analytics or marketing cookies and does not load third-party fonts or trackers. When you open a page, the host processes technically necessary connection data (IP address, time, requested file, bytes transferred, user agent). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure operation and abuse prevention). Retention follows the host’s logs and is limited to what is needed.

4. Contact

If you email support@foxcribe.app we process the message and your sender address to handle the request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract queries, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f). We delete emails when the matter is closed, unless a legal retention duty applies.

5. Foxcribe apps (macOS, iOS, iPadOS, Android)

Microphone and transcript

The app records audio only while you dictate. Processing is on-device by default. Dictation is not written to a cloud history. You may enable a local log; it stays on the device. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and the system microphone permission.

System permissions

Depending on the platform, Foxcribe needs the microphone and, on Mac, Accessibility, or on mobile, keyboard access, to insert text at the cursor. Those permissions stay on the device. We do not receive a copy.

Optional cloud providers

If you enable a cloud transcription or cleanup provider in settings (for example Groq, OpenAI, xAI, or Ollama on your own machine) and store your own keys, audio or text leaves the device to that provider. Their privacy notices then apply as well. This is optional and off by default.

License and purchase

For the trial, activation, and Pro status we store locally: trial start, license/token data, a device activation ID, plan, origin (web, App Store, Play Store), and timestamps. This does not include audio, transcripts, or usage stats. When activating or merging a purchase we send license ID, device activation ID, platform, and app version to the license API if it is configured. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

App Store and Google Play

Purchases through Apple or Google are handled by Apple or Google as independent controllers. Foxcribe receives only what is needed to unlock Pro (transaction evidence, product ID, term). Apple’s and Google’s privacy information apply in addition.

On-device models

Bundled speech and cleanup models run on the device. Their licenses (including Apache 2.0 / MIT) are documented in the project; they do not send your dictation off-device.

6. Retention

Transcripts are not kept as a history. License data remains while you use Foxcribe or a legal duty requires it. Website logs only briefly at the host. Support mail after the request is done.

7. Your rights

You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection (Arts. 15–21 GDPR) and may withdraw consent. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For the controller that is the Saxony-Anhalt Data Protection Commissioner, Leiterstraße 9, 39104 Magdeburg, Germany.

8. Requirement to provide data

You do not need to give us data to read the website. Without microphone permission Foxcribe cannot dictate. Without license data after the trial, Pro features cannot be unlocked.
